Between a late start, a stop to settle our stomachs and get snacks, arrival time for the less than an hour drive destination was lunch time. After a great bite to eat and a huge scare of a lost bear, we slowly wandered around the south end of the lake and enjoyed the views, the swans and ducks, a playground, a cappuccino and each other.
We then transitioned to the other end of the lake where we could boat to a small island that had an old church, clock tower and gift shop/café. Kelsy wondered if we were renting our own row boat because we were "cheap or because we really wanted to row." Of course we wanted the adventure of rowing! Dad's rowing was given a score of 0 stars simply because the wind was blowing and causing his passengers to get a little wet.We explored the island and refreshed ourselves with some fantastic gelato before rowing back.
We finished our time by driving around the lake and then headed for Ljubljana. After an adventurous time looking for parking in downtown Ljubljana, we gave up and went to the outskirts by David and Katka's place and found a great dinner. We are enjoying how affordable it is to eat out and that the good beer is only slightly more expensive than the bottled water you have to buy at every restaurant.
We barely beat Katka and the kids home, and the kids had a few minutes of play before bedtime. Another great day in the books.
Bear was dropped crossing the street after lunch, someone saw him and gave him this high position so we would find him.

lol you guys are the cutest! I love Kelsy and the rowing I would have said the same thing. At first I thought there was a real bear lose near your walking trail. I love that someone put bear on the post! What beautiful places you have been!
