Many times with age comes wisdom, and during the past ten months my age has doubled more times than Mom, Dad and I have gone to Babies ‘R Us, so I am feeling pretty wise. Though I haven’t started my e-trade account yet, I am continuing to learn and experience new things, including greeting friends and family. Mom is teaching me to wave goodbye to everyone and Dad is always looking for kiss hellos and kiss goodbyes—Mom tells me that I better get used it. I’m not quite running to the door to open it for people yet, but I am putting together consecutive unassisted steps and on the verge of taking my independence to the next level. I love to go into the kitchen and open and close cabinet doors, knobs on the stereo are like milk in a bottle—irresistible, despite Mom and Dad’s warnings. I figure that while I’m learning to walk I might as well practice climbing too, so I try to find as many things as possible to stand on around the house. At Uncle Adam and Aunt Mel’s I am practicing my stair climbing because at our summer house all the action happens upstairs, and I will need to be able to get there as quick as possible. Since I last updated everyone, I’ve had two more teeth break through and even though they are barely sticking out I can already tell a major difference when eating. Mom was happy with the timing because just about the time the top two teeth broke through we finished nursing. Mom thinks one of my new teeth is coming in less than ideally, and I’ve noticed that she is quick to throw Dad under the bus for providing those genes to me.
With Dad’s unique work schedule, we are lucky to get to spend a lot of time together as a family. I’ve noticed that as great as all my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins are it is tough to compete with Mom and Dad. I can tell some people’s feelings get hurt when I insist on being held by Mom or Dad, but I want to let everyone know not to worry, I’ve heard sooner or later for some reason those desires will become the complete opposite. And when that happens I’m going to need some of you to console my Dad, because I don’t think he is going to be able to handle it emotionally.
Finally I have a shout out to give to my ISR Swim instructor, Pam. After two and half weeks of crying, some shivering, huge burps, and spitting out more water than a new born baby spits out milk, we are making great progress in the pool. Lessons still consist of lot of crying, but that is only part of the learning process. Multiple times last week I was able to recognize the progress I’d made and smile and laugh about the fuss I put up about getting in the water every day. Mrs. Pam told us last Friday that starting next week we are going to add to my floating skills and start learning the swim, float, swim sequence. I am so excited because I am already able to turn myself over from a face down position and float, and soon I’ll be able to move in the water. Thanks Mrs. Pam for being super patient and supportive while teaching me to swim, float, swim.

I was extremely excited when I found out my Pooh Bear airplane had Dad's approval for items going to Washington with us this summer.
This was the first time Mrs. Pam held me, I was a little naiive about what was going to be happening next.
Swimming is hard and tiring, but just like any workout I always feel great afterwards.
After swimming I love to watch the other kids during their lessons. It is also a great time to soak up a little vitamin D and work on my tan.
I hear it is very important to always drink water and stay hydrated.
I love to hang out with Dad, he has a great view from up here.
Love to all,
Reese Bronson
