February is a short month so I am forgiven for skipping a month, right? It was such a fantastic month that even if it was as long as the others I probably wouldn’t have had time to write. The day after Reese wrote our last blog, Hudson Allen Odell was born, though it was more of a life changer for Camden, Ashton, Auntie Mel and Uncle Adam, it still meant quite a bit of change for us too. The first great change for Reese and me was that Camden and Ashton became our roommates for a week!
I hit a couple milestones in February and I don’t plan on slowing down in March. The quick update is that I’m up to two teeth, I’m sitting up on my own and even becoming semi-mobile. My dad believes my best talent to be what he calls insta-tears. It seems the second I start crying marble size tears began to roll down my cheeks—should come in handy later in life. Mommy says Reese is a sponge, but she still just looks like my sister to me. By Reese’s request (she pushes me in my walker into her room and says “bye-bye now” to anybody that tries to enter her room) we have started to play together. She loves to bring me toys and then take them away and show me how much fun they are, she also loves to read to me and share hugs and kisses.
February was fantastic for many reasons, but one of them was that I had all four of my grandparents under one roof—talk about a grandkid’s dream. GP and Gigi came to visit us for a week from Washington. Aunt Biza flew out for a long weekend from Fort Worth and Uncle Rhett took a weekend off from skiing to visit as well. With so many people to hold me, I was in heaven. We had such a good time with our visitors that a week after they left we decided to be the visitors, so we drove to Camarillo, CA to visit the Rankin 5! The last time we were there the twin boys were born! I had a blast hanging out with Trevor and Sammy, Reese had a blast playing with Hayley and Mom and Mrs. Laura are basically two peas in a pod so of course they had fun together.
February may have been a blur, but I’ve been told it is just preparation for what lies ahead. On the last day of March we are scheduled to drive into Chelan! We are still looking for a place to live, so keep us on your prayer list, Mom & Dad promised that when we get to Washington I get a real bed and can so goodbye to my pack and play. In the next three weeks we will begin packing and saying goodbye to our numerous Tucson loved ones. It will be devastatingly sad to say good bye, but we are also all extremely excited to get back to Washington to our loved ones there.
