Do you like my earrings?Christmas and New Years came and went about as fast as my entourage and I can take a clean house and turn it upside down. And since we hauled in enough toys to make any preschool jealous, we have that much more ammunition to work worth. Some of my new favorites are my tricycle, bath-time baby, and all of Kendall’s new toys—she got a lot of fun stuff! Our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles were all very generous and we are very, very grateful. Mom and Dad also got me a new potty, that I have sat on many times but have yet to christen.
A couple days before Christmas Mom, Dad and I took Kendall to get her ears pierced. She was very brave (braver than Dad, who chickened out and said he should stay with me in the waiting room because it could be traumatizing for me to watch). Kendall got the same earrings as me and looks very beautiful with her new bling. Mom says that my vocabulary has taken off the last 6 weeks and I try to take advantage as often as possible. Despite clamming up a little, I love to talk on the phone and Skype with friends. I also love to read to myself and Kendall. Mom says that I fall in a great place amongst some great talkers from Daddy’s side of the family. When I am at my most talkative she thinks I talk a little more than Uncle Roy, but not as much as Uncle Rhett.
Since 2011 started, Dad has started to have to do a little more work, he tries to do his work at home and I try not to let him. I can be pretty persuasive, so much so that he has started to leave the house or lock himself in the den because he can’t say no to me-which bodes well for my future.
The biggest Arizona update right now is that we are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of Hudson Allen Odell. Auntie Mel is due February 1st, but nobody believes she will make it that long. Since we are heading back to Washington at the end of March, we are all strong supporters of the sooner the better. Plus I’m told that Camden and Ashton are going to spend a couple nights at our house when Hudson comes, I suggested a couple test runs at these sleepovers but no one else seconded the idea.
